I have been prescribed Augmentin perhaps 10 times in the past 4 years (2 a day for 10 days), for sinus infections. Just finished a round 3 weeks ago. I think I am doing just fine...other than my chonic bacterial sinus infections.

I personally had a bad experience with it. Got prescribed it for a nasty, lingering sinus infection that lasted for almost 2 months. Antibiotics ended up giving me gi issues, which included gas, constipation, lack of appetite, nausea, and weight loss. I would eat, but wouldn’t *go* unless I ate something high in fiber (weird lol). I ended up losing almost 30 pounds, and this was all right before my wedding, and my dress was loose on me lol. Once I stopped taking them, I started probiotics and fiber supplement, and I ended up being fine!

I was reading some other medicine comments which I am about the start and because of the negative comments I got so nervous. Then I thought lets search for a medicine that did not give me any side affects in my life which is Agumentin. Since childhood when I am sick I used Agumentin and apart from very slight stomach issues I tolerated it well. Be careful with times you are taking it; and eat well before taking it. Of course the lesson here is some people have negative some people have positive experience with the same medicines.
