“TLDR of my [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Supplements/s/SBNQ7EqFrY): I took 450mg 40% bacosides for 70 days, Memory may have slightly benefited but anhedonia was horrible to deal with”
U/BBIGM ↗“Yes, it works for sure to calm you down but for me and most other people it significantly lowers dopamine so that you feel tired & unmotivated. Normally bacopa’s cholinesterace inhibition takes longer to kick in for the focus memory boost, takes weeks from what I have read. Maybe you respond very favorably or you got some awesome bacopa monierry product.”
U/[DELETED] ↗“For some sensitive people, like me, quickly develop the lack of motivation and anhedonia. On the first day I experienced sedation. I experienced on the second day the lethargy and apathy. I still continued for about a week, If I remember correctly, which caused extreme irritability. I generally feel more strongly than other people the sedating effects of substances. I have also trialed Concerta (methylphenidate), and I couldn't tell the difference between it and a placebo. I do have diagnosed narcolepsy which could explain why I feel the way I do.”
