GUT HEALTH

MIXED

Ajwain for Digestive Relief

RESEARCH

  • Ajwain is traditionally used for digestion and gas relief, but there's no solid scientific proof it works—so treat it as a folk remedy, not a proven fix.

COMMUNITY

  • People report benefits like bloating relief, but stress it's not one-size-fits-all—dosage and individual constitution matter a lot.

SAFETYIt's warming and can aggravate certain body types in Ayurveda; use sparingly (under 2 weeks) and skip it if you have high pitta or are pregnant without checking first.

First of all don’t ever suggest anything just like that to a person , mention what is your prakruti because a pitta person will get sick and high pitta from your suggestion , you would be Kapha Vata prakruti so it suits you but it will not suit everyone , 2) for you - ajwain and jeera are heating , pitta vardhak , ruksha, Agni deepak , pachak , etc , so should not be taken for a long time take only for 7-10 days and are mostly taken in vata or vataj ama or Kaphaj Ama , it helps to clear ama of Kapha.

Boiled jeera-ajwain and sipping the hot water does wonders. Clears headache and bloating. All my folks are hooked.

I forgot that important detail but edited the post now. I only eat 1/3 teaspoon of this after meals. Some people can consume more comfortably but it breaks me out if eaten in excess.

Add context that might help others — skin type, conditions like PCOS, what you'd tried before. The more specific, the more useful.
