Something to keep in mind with using oils is the molecule size of the oil you’re using. I absolutely would not use coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil etc on my skin. Their molecule size is too large. Oils like jojoba and squalane oil have smaller molecular weights allowing them to penetrate the skin easier rather than sitting on the surface and clogging pores. Also want to note hydration refers to the water content of the skin not the oil content so you will not be more “hydrated” you will be more moisturized.

Interesting, I have been using coconut or castor oil on my face for years and they don't clog my pores. If anything, when I get a breakout (without using them previously), I actually put castor on and it helps the spot heal really quickly!

Add context that might help others — skin type, conditions like PCOS, what you'd tried before. The more specific, the more useful.
