THE RESEARCH DETAIL
In a randomized controlled trial (n=60 completed), topical Cyperus rotundus oil was compared to Alexandrite laser and saline for reducing unwanted underarm hair. The oil's flavonoids have antiandrogenic activity, helping block male hormones that drive hair growth. Results showed the oil was effective and safe, with comparable efficacy to laser treatment.
