“Well, my feet and hands also started tingling while I was on Lion's Mane which progressed to chronic pain. It never went away and I still believe it was because of LM's effects on nerve growth. For me there is no other real explanation, but I've stopped talking about it for the most part because some people don't want to believe it.”
U/NIK_S ↗“If you’re going to take Lions Mane I would suggest getting the extract and making tea or mixing with coffee as you get the best out of its benefits that way. I take about 3 grams a day (3,000 mg) for social anxiety and ADHD. It’s been a game changer. Gives me a calm feeling and I’m not in my head all the time. I can now speak up in work meeting without my palms sweating haha”
U/LEVELOTHERWISE8841 ↗“Thanks for the in depth response. I agree that I think lions mane is a scapegoat for other issues that they may be having. I want to believe people and help them but it’s so hard when all of the papers and studies I’ve read never mention anyone having an adverse side effect. I know we are in our infancy of understanding how these mushrooms can affect us on a chemical biology level but I would think negative side effects would’ve been correlated long ago as lions mane have been used for such a long time in traditional Chinese medicine.”
