The practical takeaway right now is that omega-3 from whole food sources like fatty fish has a consistently better safety and efficacy record than isolated supplements, and for individuals with APOE ε4 or existing cognitive vulnerability, the supplement assumption deserves a direct conversation with a physician.

Too often these studies are just bad science (cant tell how many papers on supplements use lab-made chemical derivatives) who wants to bet they made no efforts to verify whether the supplements were rancid (which is very common with shelved unstable oils/fats). But yeah...the natural anti-inflammatory, arterial cleaning fatty acid which throughout our human history (pre-industrial/seed oil/grain fed cattle) has been in relatively equal ratio with Omega 6...is a legitimate cause for Alzheimers🙄.

Decades of research showing those who consume more omega 3 have fewer issues with cognitive decline. I wouldn’t give up on Omega 3 quite yet.

Add context that might help others — skin type, conditions like PCOS, what you'd tried before. The more specific, the more useful.
