> Saffron, is a huge mood fixer. I’m a fan of saffron and I do take it but the evidence is shaky at best. Every single RCT that showed effect sizes rivaling SSRIs was conducted in Iran. The only RCTs conducted outside Iran were done in Australia, there were 2 RCTs of this nature, and they found very modest improvement in mood but no significant impact on state or trait anxiety or depression.

Not arguing about the studies, just chiming in to say I've been taking 30mg a day for the past month and I forgot when was the last time I was so emotionally stable and focused. For me the effects started showing after about a week. If I'd put the emotional wreck me of a month ago next to present me you'd say they have nothing in common. So maybe the studies are biased, but for me it thankfully worked.

Natures way gummies. They are 28mg extract. Not stimulating at all for me. It's weird I thought it might act like other adaptogens but this stuff really just chills me out. I've tried hundreds of herbs, supplements and nootropics and I really can not compare Saffron to anything else. It's in a league of its own for me.

Add context that might help others — skin type, conditions like PCOS, what you'd tried before. The more specific, the more useful.
